[ shoe fin model ] - This was an exercise in basic mock-up skills in my first design studio. I decided to use black and white colored cardboard to polarize the different views of the shoe.
[ shoe fin model ] - In this picture, you can see how the inner part of the shoe suggests that it continues through, but it actually doesn't. This creates a stable model that still gets the idea across.
[ k'nex trebuchet ] - This trebuchet was only built with items from one K'NEX box, even using a plastic bag that contained pieces to allow the golf ball to slide when firing. The design incorporates a trigger release, which allows a golf ball to be consistently shot 14 feet. It uses only one pound of weight to launch, with no springs or rubber bands.
[ k'nex trebuchet firing position ] - Here the trebuchet is shown in the locked, ready to fire position. Simply pull out the trigger and consistently launch the golf ball 14 feet! If less distance is wanted, simply retract the length of the arm.
[ stamp cube ] - This project permitted you to create one stamp, and use it to express six different emotions on the side of a foam core cube. Pictured: Balance (left), Chaos (top), Motion (right).
[ module project ] - The goal was to create a single unit that could be folded from paper (no tape, fasteners...) that could be quickly replicated many times and used to build structures. My design harnesses the flexible property of the paper, using simple but secure tabs to build limitless structures.
[ indoor/outdoor ] - indoor/outdoor is a small toy-ish object that switches from an iconic outdoor setting to a sleek indoor setting with a simple flip. The door frame slides through the base and simple pivots and hinges let each wall collapse, allowing for a simple but intriguing interaction.
