re-design of bicycle brand MALI

when i decided to take on this project, i had a feeling that i can turn this unappealing looking frame around by giving it a complete face lift.
this bicycle, in it's "re-desiged" state, was part of the BELLA BICICLETTA bike show. it turned out to be one of the most popular pieces in the exhibition.
this frame now belongs in a private bicycle collection is JAPAN.

Decal set i had created to be applied on MALI frame.
it's been a fun project - deciding on color, decal scheme, right components etc.
i would do it again with great pleasure.

this is what the frame looked like when i first received it.
in the process of re-design i had discovered that this particular frame won gold medal in 1994 World Championship in Palermo. needless to say i decided to include this "little" fact in the design of the decals.
