MWLUG 2012 Logo - Logo for annual conference held in Pittsburgh.
Alexis Summers Logo - Logo created for non-profit foundation conceived in late 2011 for future scholarship programs.
PROSE - Entered this for a competition because I was board one night. Was pretty happy with the concept of the chain-link being incorporated. The colors worked really well for a straight forward, no-nonsense industry like logistics.
Power Kidz logo - A few examples of work done for a youth group of the local church that I've been doing some work for (CCOP). They have a focus on being multicultural which was the reasoning behind some of the more "raibow-ish" gradient color choices. That and these are kids. Kids love freakin' rainbows!
Regeneration Ministries (5R Ministries) - I was commissioned to develop a logo concept and rendering for a local church ministry group. As you can see the 5R's are featured below the logo. The idea was to relate an infinity symbol as all 5 "R's" would intertwine, thus creating a cycle. I also liked the thought of a tree as something that grows... the two ideas were married to create the resulting logo.
Carson City Saloon - Designed for a local bar in Pittsburgh on South Side (right on Carson Street). This particular logo is featured on the glass behind the bar which makes me smile every time I visit.
Terra Firma Holdings - Concept for client logo.
St. Teresa Titans - Logo design for a local school's athletic team.
Alex Summers Logo Concepts - Logo concepts for the Alexis Summers Foundation.
Covenant Connection Center - Basic logo was needed for the connection center. Basically a services/help booth stationed once you enter the church. CCOP needed something to stand out and hang above the area for those that are new to know where to go. The colors were taken from the variety supplied in the watermarked graphic (which is their logo).
Cleaver Built Smart Homes & I.A.S. Inc. - Logo redesign concepts put together for the related companies (I.A.S. Inc is the parent company of Clever Built as I recall).
ASKFirst (eIntelligence Survey System) - Logo for 4CTechnologies survey engine. This particular custom software gives the ability to the user to create a survey and customize it with their own graphics/survey theme.
Event/Wedding Planner - Another quick logo competition entry. I was itching to do some kind of intricate and geometric design that visually spoke to elegance and upscale. I am pretty happy with the results and particularly liked the idea of the "rings" for wedding and the abstract flower/diamond/chandelier graphic for events. The colors were suggested and ended up working really well for this type of industry and the owner.
Power Group - Logo design concept for a local organization of people that make waaay more money than I do! This group was organized as a knowledge transfer between all it's members. They went for another logo, but I fought valiantly for this one to be selected. Special thanks to www.grahamphisher.com: http://www.grahamphisher.com/dollar-bill-border/
Vision For Tomorrow Award - Annual award given to 4C clients in various aspects (such as Greatest Innovation in eBusiness, Greatest Industry Solution, ect). This award has become a staple of one of our annual events. The abstract symbol is made up of four altered "C's" after 4CTechnologies.
Infinity Comics & More - Concept for a new logo of a comic and music store. The official name is "Music and More", however comic book enthusiasts from all over the Pittsburgh area migrate to pick up their newest editions at this very store.
Elite Wrestling Federation - Logo creation for backyard wrestling organization. Don't try this at home.
LogoLine - Website created that allows an employee to buy apparel that has their companies logo on it. Website is still active at www.logoline4you.com if anyone is interested in a snazzy 4C fleece or collard shirt!
Execute To The Extreme - 4CTechnologies annual achievement award (first of it's kind) awarded to the employee that goes above and beyond their assigned duties. Side note: I won this award and it was kind of odd to win an award that I had designed the art for.
Personal Logo (Joshua Schmitt) - My logo started as an extension of my final school project which was to brand myself. The logo is a tip of the hat to comic book brands in order to pay homage to the inspiration that led me to graphic design.
Tracy's Tasties - Logo created for a local "sweets and treats" independent business. The proprietor (Tracy) was specializing in deserts for parties and the like. The idea came from the owners strong faith and love of angelic artwork.
The Smart Shopper East - Logo concept for a local coupon magazine.
For A Changing America - Logo student competition entry. The requirements were to create a two color logo... it being America and all colors to me had to be red, blue and the paper provides the white.
Matt Riston... yea that's right THAT Matt Riston - Logo design for a buddy of mine. He likes band pins, short haired girls, hockey, chilled tunes and grandpa shirts.
Logo concept for local dentist (located on "Golden Mile Highway", hence the name).
Crazy Mocha - Student logo design for a cafe chain in Pittsburgh (possibly elsewhere, I'm not really sure). I created the illustration of the coffee cup and applied it to this "ka-razy" logo design! Thanks to www.sxc.hu: http://www.sxc.hu/photo/1107961
GACC - Logo concept as a possible update to the existing corporation. This was a school project that I had created over 50 some logo designs and concepts for... this one being the one I liked the most.
Three Global Rivers - Student logo design. There are so many "Three Rivers somethings" around Pittsburgh that I forget what this one actually did/does!
