Using the traditional white shade as a starting point, entrants for this category are invited to consider creating something that pushes the boundaries of design while remaining mass market. Any type of light can be submitted, but it should be practical in terms of its use in the home, while still working as a stand-alone piece of design. And, in keeping with B&Q's stance on sustainability, it must push the boundaries on environmental design.
