presumed guilty - a mock illustration was created based upon the NYTimes sunday book review of Susan Choi's book, "A Person of Interest." The piece was collaborative work with my illustration class partner, Rodney Landais. It was created through a set of e-mails in which we reacted to the other's move.

caslon poster - A research paper was written on the typographer William Caslon, then a poster was created combining the text with appropriate design artifacts.
CLEAR color logo - The Conservation of Local Ecosystems in the Amur River was developed as a faux river cleaning organization. The logo evolved from the basic flow of a river using hand rendered script.
CLEAR public awareness poster - The Conservation of Local Ecosystems in the Amur River was developed as a faux river cleaning organization. The public awareness poster was created to demonstrate the consequences of chemicals being dumped from Chinese factories into the Amur River.

vets equity - President Roosevelt promised US citizenship & compensation to Filipino WWII veterans who fought with US forces vs Japanese Imperial forces; but were singled out by the Recession Act of 1946 as unrecognized for purposed of granting benefits. Out of the original 250, 000 veterans, only half of them are alive to fight for their Equity: US veteran's status, Honor and Recognition of their service, Equal Pension & medical benefits to US veterans, & Veterans Affairs [VA] disability pension benefits
book cover project - Books were selected that share the theme of little sisters who are overshadowed by their older sisters. Each book cover was created by collaging visual elements conveyed in the literary work.

hedgehog brush front - A package design was created for a product that relates to an endangered species. The endangered species selected was the wild hedgehog from England. The spines of the hedgehog correleate with the hairbrush and a package was created that embodied elements from both the hedgehog and the brush.

LG book Spread - The paper delves into how the LG logo designer might have been influenced by Oscar Schelmmer's Bauhaus Seal, Pablo Picasso's work, and Jean Carlu's 1930 Vanity Fair Cover.
