Resumé
I am a designer - creator specializing in solid wood furniture, my company is Studio 22 and we're based in Uzes france. My professional training is in Film and Drama, an arena in which I worked for six years prior to cabinet making. I took to the trades in 2003 and opened my company in 2008. I returned to school in 2010 to study Industrial Design at Emily Carr University in Vancouver B.C.
Of British origin I have lived for extended periods in San Francisco, Prague, Vancouver and the south of France. These cultural influences support my work and allow a depth of understanding relative to the needs of the client. I am Bilingual French/English.
The trinity of matter, balance and vibration defines the existence of the object, the actuality of its creation. This equilibrium is the design target, it is the determining factor for the test of time. The capacity to patina, to become a canvas for emotional projection is what i consider responsible design.
