The Fuse Project is a experimental use of newly available access to production ceramics through 3D printing. Through use of the company Shapeways, anyone has the opportunity to build their own version of my design. I find the process refreashing as its the production of a product on a as needs basis, not produced en mass and potentially in vain if it doesn't find a home. I have taken the inspiration of this fruit platter / serving dish from paper. Taking the idea of the fragility of ceramics, and applying it to the non-structural crinkle of scrunched up paper.
