hi, ,i'm fasion design graduate from NIFT,India. i'm altime inspired by the legend 'LeoNardoDa Vinci'. i love to do new innonvation in fashion and garment field. it consists of development of new silhauttes, fabrics etc. i always do the technical designing, and i'm quite capable of doing garments which can follow body curves more perfectly, it will help in movement and motion. so i do concept based tecnical and research oriented garment and bady related accessory designing.

Objective: To work in creative and professional environment. Try to give my best to the industry using own aesthetic and technical knowledge.


Work Experience:

• Doing brand positioning for a kidswear brand (puff), and promotion design project for a menswear label.

• Worked with a designer Priya Awasthi (Member of FDCI). Handling the product development dept. of ‘Kantha’ embroidery of west Bengal. Working near to real artisans and doing the product diversification and variation in existing craft in more productive manner.
(Sept.2003 to date).

• Worked with a buying agency named “Solo Mio”, mainly catering to the buyers of UK, and other European countries.
(May2003 to Sept.2003)

• Craft field study and Documentation done on one of the age-old craft of Andhra Pradesh “Kalamkari”. Learnt the art of painting and printing on fabrics with self made Natural dyes using local recourses. (2002).

• Participate in Bamboo workshop held at NID (Oct.2000). Studied the nature of the material and the potential area to work upon. Worked in the area of product development and diversification.

• Taught at SNDT-Women’s college under a week module about design ideology and enhancement their skills to compete others with the global scenario.
(Sept. 2003).

• Studied all Indian crafts, art and their architecture under the course curriculum at three-year academics at NIFT (2000-03).

• Exhibition design project for “Harmony”(Home furnishing brand of Reliance Industries) at Nehru center (Bombay, April 2002).


• Worked with Mala De (Costume designer in Bollywood) for a upcoming movie by ‘Subhas Ghai’. The project was research and ideation of character and flow of story.

Achievements: Nift graduate with an award winning collection inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci as a character. This collection got an award for best skills for pattern and construction understanding.

Other projects:
• Industrial internship at “Babylon Group”, Dhaka (Bangladesh). Studied the whole unit and garment business at Bangladesh and made presentation to the officials of the Industry.
(May-July 2002).
• Knitwear project: A T-shirt range for teens designed and created for local Ahmedabad market using knit fabrics with co-ordination of ‘Research Development and training center, Gandhinagar (Arvind Mills).
