The Legend of Wong Fei Hung - I created the border using the elements of Wong Fei's 10 individual fighting stances of: Dragon, Tiger, Crane, Snake, Leopard, Wood, Metal, Earth, Fire, and Water to represent the battle. For the wood element i put 4 posts in each corner to represent the dock where the fight took place. In the center is an image of Wong Fei's hands bandaging one of the wounded opponents. Sort of a yin/yang of fighting to bandaging.

The Daily Gossip - This piece plays off the idea of how American culture has not changed so much but the formats with which we do the same things, have. This piece is titled “Daily Gossip” featuring 2 girls who are reading the gossip columns in a digital format instead of holding a magazine, perhaps like the ones that Rockwell illustrated covers for. This contemporary rendition is my take on satire mixed with a sense of nostalgia.

Gallery Works

I participate in gallery exhibitions as an artist and curator throughout the year. Each show brings its own challenges within its specific theme and I am constantly working on developing my techniques and concepts, hoping to improve and grow with each attempt. Most works are done in acrylic.
