This project involved the design and construction of a "chair," i.e. anything you can sit on, which was auctioned to benefit victims and survivors of domestic violence. The concept of my piece revolves around community interaction that is inherent in a bus stop. The chair represents public education through shocking imagery and provocative statements and is inspired by the work of Barbara Kruger.

"One in Three" refers to the statistic that 1 in 3 women across the globe have been or will be victims of domestic abuse. If more people become aware of this shocking number, I think that the support system for victims and survivors would become much stronger.
