I am an event and production designer living in Los Angeles, Ca. I specialize in set and décor design for high profile events, exhibitions, broadcast, film and television. Career Objectives:
To utilize my creativity and ingenuity, along with technical and engineering sense within the discipline of production design for film, television, exhibitions, events, and marketing to uniquely reinforce my clients’ message through the art of theatre and story-telling.
 
Post-Secondary Education:
2008 Graduate of Bemidji State University, Design Technology Program, Emphases in Print Design, Multimedia Design, Exhibition Design. Minors in Art and Art History, Modern Design Focus. Standing Dean’s List Honors, Exhibit Club President, EDPA Student Member.
 
Key Appointments:
2007 Intern, Exhibit Partners Minneapolis. Worked as a junior design intern creating custom exhibit solutions for clients, with budgets topping $200K.
 
2009 Creative Designer, GO West Events. Assumed full time position on the tail of a successful apprenticeship as Creative and Set Designer and Set Director, with show budgets topping $2M.
 
2012 Design Director, Go West Creative. Earned promotion to Design Director after 4 years of successful work. Roles include initial concept and design as well as managing production design freelancers with close direction to meet client expectations and deliver creative work. Also directing technical and fabrication stages and budgets.
 
Core Skills:
Conveyance of conceptual designs via Autodesk Maya, CAST Vivien, and VectorWorks, with additional graphic support from Illustrator and Photoshop. Proposal building in Illustrator and InDesign.
 
Able to move from conceptual to technical stage, using Illustrator and VectorWorks to create assemblies and light plots from initial concepts.
