Since the early censuses in Ancient Egypt and Babylon, data and information have been collected about population. No place on earth or in its history has seen the gathering of so many different people like the United States. In 2010, the US Census Bureau will collect its 23rd census. A close evaluation of US census data and history reveals far more about the people that live there than just their quantity. Presenting these revelations, humanizing them and telling a story create an opportunity for United States residents to feel a greater personal connection to the census and their neighbors.
