Emotional Interactive Communication
Tag along, not alone
This thesis is a method of enhanced communication speciallydesigned for senior citizens but also benefiting their family. To start, Iresearched the importance of emotional communications relating to depression,isolation and loneliness. I also researched challenge seniors face in relationto their specific issues, and products and technology available of beingdeveloped that enhance emotional communication. In order to keep seniors andtheir family members connected, this emotional interactive communication systeminvolves an easy-to-use touchscreen as well as non-camera sensors placed in thehome to provide a sense of “presence”. This creates a non-intrusive-but interactive-experience.
