Poster {RK Science} - Freelance work for Roadkill Science (division of Teacher's Discovery). I am responsible for eveything you see here (though I can't claim credit for research done for these projects, that was someone else). The idea behind this poster was to enforce the dangerous nature of several parasites - in a fun way. This was definitely a fun project, and learning about these creatures (through some pretty graphic videos) was an added bonus.
Poster {RK Science} - Freelance work for Roadkill Science (division of Teacher's Discovery). I am responsible for eveything you see here (though I can't claim credit for research done for these projects, that was someone else). The idea behind this poster for Rutherford & Bohr, is to portray the "explosiveness" of their work with nuclear physics. The main inspiration, of course, is the classic Blaxploitation poster. Specific symbols (Nobel Prize, diagrams, etc) find their way in.
Poster {Environment} - One of four posters designed as a part of my senior thesis. As most design students tend to be, I was very idealistic at the time (and I've happily retained most of that sentiment to this day) and I wanted to do something that had more substance to it than pushing a product. This piece focuses on the balance between the development vs destruction of our environment.
Poster {Technology} - One of four posters designed as a part of my senior thesis. As most design students tend to be, I was very idealistic at the time (and I've happily retained most of that sentiment to this day) and I wanted to do something that had more substance to it than pushing a product. This piece is inspired by dependency on technology, as well as decreased human interactivity in the name of increased connectivity.
Poster {Animals} - One of four posters designed as a part of my senior thesis. As most design students tend to be, I was very idealistic at the time (and I've happily retained most of that sentiment to this day) and I wanted to do something that had more substance to it than pushing a product. Here's a call to arms for our animal friends, inspired in no small part by the classic Planet of the Apes.
Poster {Labor} - One of four posters designed as a part of my senior thesis. As most design students tend to be, I was very idealistic at the time (and I've happily retained most of that sentiment to this day) and I wanted to do something that had more substance to it than pushing a product. The main idea behind this poster is, of course, child labor. The other point I was aiming for is our willingness to accept these practices in the name of lower prices.
Poster {TFF} - This poster was designed to promote one of those damned "alternative-rock" outfits that the kids all seem to love these days. This version was inspired (loosely) by retro game packaging.
Poster {TFF} - This poster was designed to promote one of those damned "alternative-rock" outfits that the kids all seem to love these days. This version was inspired by the video for "Lady Marmalade" - no joke.
Poster {TFF} - This poster was designed to promote one of those damned "alternative-rock" outfits that the kids all seem to love these days. This version subtly includes an image of the actress after whom the band was named.
