1] Lay down pencil sketch 2] ad marker start light, for reflections shadows and bit of interior detail 3] with knife scrape gray pastel dust onto the side & smooth out with cotton pad to modulate main body core form; repeat with cool color of sky reflection on upper body cores and with ground tone on lower body for ground reflection 4] with needed erasure bring out contour 5] finish off by defining details & cut-lines with color pencils 6] ad highlights with gouache or in this case PS.

Thanks for your interest Xiangang. This one is done on Too PM pad with AD markers pastels and color pencil. Than finished off with swash of Photoshop brush over the window and core line only to bring a bit more saturation to the pastel that's there already.

Alp, That era of gentleman driver of a lithe Italian or British sports car driving through the countryside is the romantic image of cars that I love so was a natural emotion to convey. I may not so quickly capture something that I don't hold dear.

Thanks for your complements Roshan & Ajay: I can't take full credit. This was a class demo and I roughly based the design on my pupil Shamir Ballard's sketch. Ajay, its a vary simple view: 1 point perspective. I have the students do this simple view as a first step into other perspective angels.

M. Allexander, I used Chartpack AD markers. I'm not much of a pure marker render. I keep the marker work minimal, just applying for reflections and shadow. Than I do main coloring with pastel. This is for shiny things like cars.

Thanks for your interest Xiangang. This one is done on Too PM pad with AD markers pastels and color pencil. Than finished off with swash of Photoshop brush over the window and core line only to bring a bit more saturation to the pastel that's there already.

1] Lay down pencil sketch 2] ad marker start light, for reflections shadows and bit of interior detail 3] with knife scrape gray pastel dust onto the side & smooth out with cotton pad to modulate main body core form; repeat with cool color of sky reflection on upper body cores and with ground tone on lower body for ground reflection 4] with needed erasure bring out contour 5] finish off by defining details & cut-lines with color pencils 6] ad highlights with gouache or in this case PS.
