Job Description

Art and Cook, the world's leading Kitchen Gadgets manufacture, Utensils and a top producer of trend-focused everyday housewares products, seeks a Product Designer. As the company expands its categories, we are looking for a designer that is able to continue the brand into other categories. Duties include: Product conception and development consistent with market, safety, retail and manufacturing standards; analyze form and function; accurately create finished CAD models and prototypes of proposed gadgets molds; verify dimensions of finished product; interpret concept drawings from designers; assist studio personnel in developing solutions to engineering and design issues; create design concepts that support line plans, strategies and price points.

Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Product Engineering from four-year college or university and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop CS3, Adobe Illustrator CS3, Graphite and SolidWorks 2008. In addition, candidates must have strong design and technical skills, manufacturing experience, strong knowledge of manufacturing materials, such as stainless steel, corrugate, melamine and other plastics consistent with infant, food safety standards. Must be able to illustrate complex concepts.
