Job Description

General Summary:

Seeking a talented and nimble graphic designer to join Peak Hosting.​ This full-time position will require collaboration with senior staff in the development of new marketing materials, print and digital media, and a variety of other projects.​ The ideal candidate has impeccable design sense, is a self-starter, works quickly, has the ability to multi-task, and isn't afraid to ask questions.​ Peak Hosting is a distributed company, and this is a work-from-home position. You will be expected to be working and available during normal business hours.

Workload will include concept, design and production of both digital and printed marketing materials and collaboration with senior staff, copywriters, clients, and external vendors.​

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Produce print and digital marketing materials including: all marketing collateral, white papers, datasheets, sales brochures, PR pieces, web design layout, print materials, advertising, websites layout for individual pages, and other assorted assets

Translate marketing text and general concepts into professionally designed collateral

Create collateral which is appropriately designed to be displayed on the medium for which it is to be presented. (One content concept may be a whitepaper, leave-behind, PDF download, web page, or blog post. It may be viewed on a website, iPad or in printed. Your job to ensure it is flawlessly presented for each medium and device.)

Work with photographer, videographer, copywriter, tactical marketing people, and technical writer to produce professional Peak Hosting branded materials with style

Maintain internal brand standards, and continue to document new design elements for consistency and internal communication

Work with vendors during project production process as necessary

Meet deadlines with limited turnaround time

Work individually or in collaboration with others to generate concepts with connect with our target audience



Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities required:

Strong design portfolio (PDF or WEBSITE REQUIRED) with print and interactive work

5+​ years of design experience (IT, hosting, or technical industry experience a plus)

Illustration skills or new art creation is a major plus, but not required

Expert level understanding of print and web design best practices

Complete understanding of printing methods and preparing files for print

High proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and Power Point

Excellent grammar and proofreading skills

Customer-service centric

Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and turn projects quickly

Professional and ability to handle criticism

Courage to evolve professionally

Perform well in a distributed company with little face to face with co-workers.


Expected Outcomes:

Design projects should be completed in a timely, professional manner and with the input/involvement of others in the department as designated.

Work should be reviewed and approved by all stakeholders prior to being finalized or being published. Collaborate with all appropriate team members to gain approval on content before pushing the project to the next level.

As a member of the marketing department, the Graphic Designer should operate as a team and work to meet the expectations (roadmap) of the organization.

Work off-site, and be available during normal business hours.
