Job Description
Antioch University Los Angeles is accepting applications for a full-time position as a Graphic Designer in the Communications and Public Relations department.
The incumbent works as a team member in the Communications department to support and accomplish the development goals and objectives of Antioch University Los Angeles. The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating, implementing, supervising and evaluating graphic design products and solutions for all manner of communications media including, but not limited to, web pages, brochures, newsletters, logos, covers, and other collateral materials. The Graphic Designer duties require an ability to work independently, coordinate multiple tasks, and evaluate information received from clients to determine and create appropriate material that will convey a specific message to a specific audience. The position requires high level organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Graphics, Art, Advertising or related field, 2+ years hands-on experience in graphic design or advertising and production; extensive knowledge of a variety of graphics software. Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ideal candidate is an organized, creative, innovative individual with an eye for detail, ability to “think outside of the box” and retain a great sense of humor. Hours of Employment: This is a full-time position. A work schedule will be established in consultation with the supervisor.
Compensation and Benefits: Salary is DOE. Benefits include medical and dental insurance, paid holidays, sick and vacation leave, prescription drug service, life insurance, and pension plan. Employees are eligible for tuition benefit after one year of employment.
