Disney Publishing Worldwide develops original, award-winning content (both Disney and non-Disney branded), including Disney books, magazines and comic books. Its products are printed in more than 85 languages across 103 countries, and it is considered the largest publisher of children’s books and magazines in the world. Producers drive the successful development of mobile products collaborating with the creative and technology team.
•Leads production, delivery and ongoing sustainment of mobile products.
•Determines, maintains and executes the product vision.
•Develops concept documents, storyboards, user flows and prototypes for assigned products
•Creates product development plans, production schedules, and budgets for assigned products.
•Identifies key features/functionality including inclusion on next generation technologies.
•Partners with consumer insights and marketing/sales to ensure consumer-first approach and successful product launch (on-time and on-budget).
•Works across The Walt Disney Company to identify synergy opportunities and alignment of product strategy.
•Direct experience in managing production of mobile products required, with educational and kid’s media experience preferred.
•Previous success managing fast moving, high-performing teams within budget and on schedule.
•Strong background in technology, mobile platforms, video games, or software production
•Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, effective with all levels, internally and externally Ability to work collaboratively across the organization and across disciplines.
•Ability to work independently, make fast decisions and learn through iteration.
•Process-orientation, results driven and a restless passion for quality experiences
•Contagious high energy level, extraordinary sense of urgency and a dedication to continuous improvement.
•College degree required.
