The Jewish Federations of North America promotes supports and leads 153 Jewish Federations and over 300 smaller communities, which raise and distribute more than $3 billion annually for social welfare, social services and educational needs. These Federations, collectively among the top 10 charities on the continent, protect and enhance the well being of people worldwide.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTION: The senior copy writer will join a creative team of professionals at a time of exciting change, as we reengineer our approach to providing marketing support to a diverse array of 153 federations across the country, plan to go live with a new Web site and other online tools and take new approaches to the development of documentary content. This is a new position that will fill an important void in the operation, with exciting opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Help invent new collateral campaigns in a range of media, and reenergize existing ones.
• Produce crack copy for a variety of campaigns across all media including print, brochures, ads, emails, invitations, promotional material, Web, Twitter and other media
• Collaborate with design team in developing communications solutions that synthesize visual and verbal solutions.

Must have strong copywriting skills, with a bent toward advertising and promotional writing
Strong editing and proofreading skills, with utmost attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects with tight deadlines
Approach projects with the ability to see things as they might be, not as they are
Think creatively to reach fresh perspectives that break old molds
Experience in speechwriting and multimedia/video scriptwriting a plus
Candidates must have a passion for cause-related marketing
A BA in a creative subject area such as journalism, advertising, PR, communications or similar is required
5-8 years agency experience or similar.
The candidate must submit three writing samples representing different types of media.
