The Endocrine Society, an international membership organization serving physicians and scientists of endocrinology, seeks a Graphic Designer. Under the general supervision of the creative services manager, this individual prepares the visual presentation by producing the conception, development, and production of designed print and online marketing collaterals for all Endocrine Society products.
•Create marketing design projects for meetings and education including the production process of those materials
•Create marketing design projects for membership and other departments as needed, including the production process
•Work with the web team and marketing managers to create online house ads and links on the site as needed
•Update the branding and graphic guidelines for the Society
•Be up to date with best practices, new technologies, and the design community
•Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials based on client discussions
•Conceptualize and create graphics that visually represent the message of the piece
•Illustrate concept by designing layout of copy, imagery, typography, and related aesthetic concepts
•Prepare and package final art work to be submitted to print vendor
•Complete projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
•Maintain and follow brand standards guidelines
•Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops and reviewing professional publications
•Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
•Product responsibilities include: email template graphics, web banner ads, logos, brochures, print ads, posters, flyers, programs, direct mailings, signage, covers, catalogs, etc.
•College degree in related field
•5+ years design experience in a design-related professional environment
•Project management and association experience preferred
•Experience with both print and online design, as well as working with printers and other vendors
•Must have skills in design, typography, and layout using Adobe suite of products (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign); MS Office, and Adobe Flash is a plus
•Must exhibit excellent organizational skills, communication skills, conceptual creativity, attention to detail, ability to work independently, consistency, and handle criticism
•Excellent interpersonal and consensus building skills required to work collaboratively in a team environment and with clients
•Must be highly motivated, efficient, deadline-oriented, results-oriented, and able to multi-task
•Job may require some occasional travel, including weekends
