The Marketing Manager is responsible for brand development, marketing strategies and segment marketing and programs, projects and campaigns. This person is responsible for developing and ensuring the proper usage of all brand standards relating to positioning, core messaging and brand/corporate tag lines and selling/value propositions to a range of constituencies that includes, but is not limited to, customers, agents, specifiers, end users, trade associations, organizations and other influential hubs.
This person must be a strategic thinker who has the ability to set and meet aggressive deadlines in a fast paced environment.
•In conjunction with Product Marketing leaders, coordinate and conduct market research to collect voice of the customer and insights for product development
•Develop and implement marketing strategies that support increased brand awareness
•Provide leadership and oversight for overall brand development
•Oversee development and implementation of advertising campaigns
•Direct development of marketing communications pieces and sales tools
•Responsible for all public and media relations
•Manage all “thought leadership” communications and programs through the creation and placement of white papers, presentations/webinars, speaking opportunities, videos/animations, and other PR and sponsorship opportunities
•Establishes CRM strategy and manages activities to collect and analyze data on target markets
•Review market research and market trends to direct strategy
•Ensure organizational standards for quality, cost effectiveness, accuracy, accountability and timeliness
•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field
•7+ years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, public relations, copywriting
•Experience specifically within the lighting industry is a plus
•Experience with product launch planning and execution; market research (qualitative and quantities)
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
•Experience with CRM/demand generation/marketing automation software, a plus
•Ability to strategically and tactically organize, structure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
