Based in London UK. The Product Ideas Manager will lead this new department under the direction of the Creative Directive.

The successful candidate will need to lead and inspire their team to create new and inventive products within established and new categories.


As the successful candidate, you will have a passion for creating bold and innovative ideas.
You will challenge conventional thinking, whilst keeping your ideas grounded in commercial reasoning that can be communicated and proven.

You will be a qualified industrial designer with an extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, accumulated through working in design consultancies, or for a consumer goods manufacturer.

With an ability to understand the brand, consumer and retail requirements, you will be working only in product categories that are important for the future growth of the business.

You will be working with the founders of the business, to provide intelligent solutions to product briefs. You will be given generous time to conduct necessary research and explore new directions. You will report directly to the Creative Director.


You will have an excellent Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Engineering or a related course. A Masters degree in a related subject would be a benefit and is necessary in industrial design if the first degree is engineering.

You will have a minimum of 5 years experience working in a product development company seeing products from concept through to manufacture.
Your portfolio will demonstrate an understanding of the design process and include examples of sketch work and renderings.

You should have a good working knowledge of design applications including Creative Suite, 3D CAD software, either SolidWorks or ProEngineer. Experience of rendering software is also important to help with communicating ideas, as is the ability to make solid models and prototypes.


You will be a self-motivated creative thinker who is driven to generate ‘the big idea’, and you will have the ability to communicate your thinking clearly and effectively.

A good listener and a quick learner, you have the ability to quickly fit into a new environment, engage easily with others, and motivate them to achieve desired results.

You will have an ability to organise your time effectively, to work on various different projects simultaneously and under pressure, to lead projects with confidence and to present ideas to internal teams and the founders of the business with conviction.

You will have excellent project management and leadership skills, an enthusiastic ‘hands-on’ approach, and exceptional attention to detail.
