Senior Industrial Designer
Volume, an Industrial Design studio based in Chicago, is looking for a Senior Industrial Designer. We’re an atypical creative group looking for an atypical product designer: Someone with a crazy broad range of skills that enjoys working on an equally broad range of projects.
About half of our projects are in Consumer Products while the rest are in the Toy & Juvenile Product industry, so experience doing both well is essential. The designer we’re looking for equally loves ideation, concept sketching, and 3D modeling and has developed their skills in all of these areas, simply because they love to do it. This person has 4-8 (ish) years of work experience and is comfortable designing anything from infant feeding products, to premium bath accessories, to riding toys, to IOT devices. We know it’s a tall order, but we know the right person is out there somewhere. Right?
The tools we use are SolidWorks, Rhino, Keyshot, Autodesk Sketchbook, and all things Adobe. Experience with 3D printing (both FDM and SLA) is a plus, but not necessary.
The environment is laid back, but fast paced. We sketch a LOT. We have good taste in music. We hope that you do, too.
Please introduce yourself by sending your resume and PDF portfolio or link to your online portfolio to firstname.lastname@example.org or you can send us a message through the contact page at www.volumestudios.com.
No calls, please. We’re super busy right now.
