Currently, Panasonic Corporation of North America (PNA) is seeking a UXI Designer.

What You’ll Get to Do:

Manage design projects with contractors and partners within set budgets and deadlines. Coordinate design collaboration tasks utilizing Design Thinking Approaches with cross value multi-disciplinary teams and align progress with management and applicable affiliates and customers.

•Think Creatively to Generate Hypotheses, Design Concepts and Ideas
•Visualize and Prototype by means of Sketches, Rendering, Mock-ups, Movies and Animations
•Refine Visualized Concepts and Ideas iteratively to compel the audience

•Plan, Moderate and Conduct design research
•User observations, surveys, interviews, secondary research
•Analyze research findings and be able to apply insights for 1) Creation and 3) Presentation

•Inform and communicate Research and Creation deliverables by means of appropriate presentation methods
•Creatively generate story telling scenarios and interact with audience to attain feedback
•Facilitate and creatively lead collaborative workshops with teams and clients

What You’ll Bring:

Education & Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or Interaction/Graphic Design or related field is required.
•3-5 years of professional design experience working with global cross-functional team, design consultancy or equivalent position.
•Strong portfolio proving designs and experience of launched/implemented designs and demonstrate visualization talent.

•Advanced level of Adobe Creative Suite (2D Graphics, Movie), 3D Computer Graphics (Rhinoceros / Solid Works or equivalent)
•Understanding and Ability to practically apply Design Thinking/Human-Centered design approaches.
•Team Player with Outstanding organizational skills, Multi-tasking capabilities with abilities to prioritize and navigate ambiguity.

•Strong persuasive communication skills and interpretation skill in English and Japanese.
•Ability to conduct research interviews, prepare presentation document, give presentation about designs.
•Ability to communicate design concepts using visual tools such as sketches, rendering, mock-ups, movies and animations.

•Ability to understand instructions and proactively manage assignments independently in a fast-paced environment.
•Flexibility and Multi-tasking capabilities.
•Travel 10% within United States, South America and Asia
