Apple’s Self-Service Engineering team is looking for an exceptional software engineering leader to guide a team of engineering project managers and software engineers to deliver Apple's customer facing support applications. This role requires working closely with many teams to effectively coordinate the complex interdependencies of our application portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail on par with Apple’s high standards, a proven track record of partnering with a diverse set of stakeholders, and a deep technical understanding of building intuitive, and scalable web applications. The candidate must possess excellent leadership skills, be a pro-active solution-oriented individual with strong written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional project management skills, and a proven ability to influence and collaborate across the organization are key qualities required to be able to excel in this role.

Key Qualifications:
•Experience building and leading a team of highly skilled engineers
•A strong enterprise web application/front-end development background - with a deep understanding of
•HTML, CSS, and advanced JavaScript
•An advocate and driver for performance optimization, automation, and unit tests
•Experience as a ScrumMaster - preferred CSM credentials with 2-3 years experience
•Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, tools and best practices
•Passion for quality and attention to detail
•Demonstrate innovative and creative thinking capabilities and possess good troubleshooting skills
•Ability to brainstorm and communicate technology ideas and issues with peers and IT management;
•Ability to work with vendors, cross functional teams, internal partners
•Proven ability to manage to deadlines and meet cost constraints
•Excellent communication, leadership and presentation skills
•Drive product features, functional specifications, and development schedules, represent team and technology

Description:
Join Apple’s Self-Service Engineering team as a software engineering manager; leading a team of talented engineering project managers and software engineers to build and deploy customer facing support solutions. As an engineering leader, you’ll define the technical direction and best practices for your team and drive the design and development of Apple’s customer facing, world class support and service solutions. You will partner closely with other engineering teams to architect, develop, and validate the best technical design and approach for your projects. Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills will be critical in this role in order to work cross-functionally with other software engineering teams and to partner closely with product, QA, service/support channels, UI/UX design, marketing, and other key stakeholders.

Education:
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent field with 5+ years Engineering Management experience
