Jones Knowles Ritchie is seeking a copywriter to join our growing creative team. Our clients span a wide range of categories, representing massive legacy brands and startups alike. In this ideation-driven role, you’ll work closely with the Copy Director and Design Director to develop concepts and breakthrough campaigns in both traditional and digital channels, as well as craft compelling copy for pack, brand books, and more. You’ll bring a passion for storytelling and understanding of the nuances of working with businesses at various stages of growth. You’re excited about working across a variety of categories and have the ability to adapt your style and voice with ease, as well as the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a growing department.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Work with copy director,strategists and designers to develop concepts and campaigns that work based on our client’s business needs and realities - in both digital and traditional channels
Write video and radio concepts and scripts, from social posts to 60 second spots
Craft engaging, informational packaging copy
Interact with clients, understanding their vision and needs and clearly communicating ideas
Contribute across multiple projects, adapting style and tone based on audience, channel and industry
Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
2 years of experience at an ad agency, across both digital and traditional media
Track record of successful campaign work (with examples) for a range of audiences, channels and industries
Strong portfolio of work that includes multiple examples of video
Experience working with startup and/or technology brands
Ability to brainstorm, develop and execute campaign concepts, copy, video/radio scripts and storyboards
Deep understanding of digital media and platforms
Knows how to successfully partner with designers and art directors to develop creative that breaks through
Strategically minded, and can quickly translate a brief into an idea
An entrepreneurial spirit
