Position Summary

The Photographer & Asset Coordinator is a creative, multi-faceted and enthusiastic person with a great eye for photography and strong technical knowledge of camera and lighting equipment. This person should have a good sense of design, be highly collaborative, motivated and organized. The Photographer & Asset Coordinator is responsible for the creation, organization and distribution of Philadelphia 76ers images. This employee will attend games and events and provide photographic support, then properly maintain the company’s image assets so they can be readily available by Brand Marketing teams and others within the organization. The Photographer will also digitally edit and process, color correct and clip (as needed) a standard set of photos for use in web and print.



Job Responsibilities
-Capture game action photography
-Attend 76ers home games and events to provide photographic support. This includes community events, internal company events, and external sales and speaking events
-Shoot and maintain staff photo directory
-Photograph sections of the arena
-Use Photoshop & Lightroom (or other editing software) to do high quality, high resolution post-production photo retouching on images by cloning, color correcting, compositing, adding shadows, light, and using complex image masks and adjustment layers, etc.
-Ingest and organize the full library of photographic assets; labels and archive images
-Responsible for the management of the Digital Asset Management system
-Assemble and disassemble equipment for photography purposes and ensure the operational condition of department equipment
-Post online photo galleries
-Participate in the planning and development of new content
-Employ photographic standards set by company brand guides
-Work co-op with Social Media Team to develop concepts and content

Experience:
-5 or more years of photography experience; Includes schoolwork
-Experience with current trends, usability and standards along with the tools and techniques to create beautiful images
-Social Media content management

Job Requirements:
-Have a BA/BS or above in related field with a focus on photography
-Be proficient in current design software programs including Photoshop and Lightroom
-Photography Portfolio
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-Highly motivated with strong attention to detail
-Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a team of creatives
-Ability to work a flexible which may include weekends and weeknights depending on the event schedule
-Maintains ongoing internal communication with key partners as needed
-Works on multiple design projects at any given time and execute in a timely fashion
-Able to work independently, as well as within a team
-Capable of working on and managing multiple design projects at a given time and executing quickly
-Detail-oriented, especially under deadline pressure
-Highly organized and communicative
-Positive attitude
-Experience and passion for sports and/or entertainment preferred
-Other duties as assigned

Work Environment
-This position generally requires that work be performed from the Philadelphia 76ers Training Complex but attendance at events taking place in the arena or offsite, including on weekends and/or holidays, may be required
