Develop internal and external communication tools, messages and materials, including print and electronic publications, website content, social media, campaigns, public relations materials, direct mail, marketing, multimedia and other related materials, in support of Student Health Center projects and initiatives and its diverse audiences (including but not limited to NYU students, parents, faculty/staff, and SHC staff). Collaborate and coordinate with SHC and broader University constituents to generate, maintain, and disseminate student health-related content across University communication channels. Conduct communications-related research and assessments to inform and improve decision-making around communication strategies and effectiveness.
Bachelor's degree in a related field
3 years of relevant professional experience planning, implementing, and evaluating a variety of communication and marketing activities.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to use market research; approach marketing and communication challenges creatively in a high energy, complex university environment. Strong creative sense. Excellent design skills. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite. Skill in crafting targeted communications for addressing specialized needs of various diverse audiences. Knowledge of communication theories, principles, practices and techniques.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Project management skills. Supervisory experience. Ability to apply health literacy concepts and methods for developing messages and materials. Experience communicating about health. Knowledge of current health issues as well as trends that are of concern to a diverse student population. Proficiency in HTML/CSS, website design. Knowledge of social marketing and health communications strategies.
