We are actively seeking an Industrial Designer at our Santa Fe Springs, CA (Los Angeles County) facility. This position plays an integral role in Shin Crest’s success by ensuring our continued growth through fulfilling our customers' needs. The majority of our customers are major retail store chains located in North America.
To develop new indoor/outdoor furniture and accessories for US retail markets and e-commerce.
Research market trends through both domestic and international travel: review current product offerings in retail market and attend furniture shows.
Travel domestically for retail meetings and internationally to factories in China & Taiwan.

-Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or Furniture Design.
-2+ years experience in furniture design and development or related field.
-Extensive knowledge of furniture: history, styles and classifications.
-Skilled in 3D CAD modeling programs (SolidWorks preferred, AutoCAD, Rhino), sketching, rendering and creating detailed technical drawings.
-Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
-Ability to manage time on multiple projects for various departments and clients while meeting tight deadlines.
-Must be a good team player ready to collaborate with fellow designers, associates and managers.
-Excellent communication, interpersonal and decision making skills.
-Experience in designing outdoor furniture.
-Knowledge of fabrication techniques for steel and aluminum.
-Understanding of furniture construction for efficient packaging and shipping: stacking and knock down assembly methods.
-Language: English & Mandarin.
