Website and Social Media Specialist

The Website and Social Media Specialist is a vital contributor to the Communication Strategies team responsible for creating user interface, experience solutions, and coordinating digital content, including social media. This position will drive digital content for social media, websites, ads, banners, emails, forms, magazines, and marketing campaigns. Ability to consider cognitive, cultural, physical, and social factors in researching and executing content for the target audience. Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. Requires self-discipline to start projects on own initiative, budget time, and ability to meet deadlines.

The Website and Social Media Specialist will understand a variety of audiences and demographics, relevant social media platforms, and how to communicate with a variety of constituents. The Specialist manages multiple projects simultaneously and allocates the relevant amount of time required to complete the work and prioritizes to adhere to production schedules. Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines in a fast paced environment, have the ability to problem-solve and trouble shoot issues in a way to best satisfy the stake-holders.

Working with social media the Specialist mines social media sites and helps develop targeted Ringling messaging. Develops layout creation and implementation for the creative on responsive websites, display banners, emails, and social media graphics. Creates wireframes, mock-ups, and articulate flows. Explores opportunities for UI experiences and social media. Continues to keep current on trends and upcoming digital platforms and communications. Contributes to the evolution of the site design, user experience and brand projection, and supports continuous development of the website and digital strategies.

The successful incumbent will have the ability to work in a team environment, with professionals and or students, in a wide range of media, including photography, Illustration, digital film, web programmers, copywriters, and communication specialists to complete parts of the design process. Responsible for adherence to project budget and time line. Must have ability to maintain and adhere to current brand and style guidelines for the College.

Minimum Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in web, video, and interactive media
• Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training which includes:
o Broad range of experience in digital content design and development
o Proven understanding of social media platforms, (including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat), and knowledge of current and emerging trends
o Strong digital portfolio demonstrating proven talent through successful web based projects
o Experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Proficient knowledge of the following software: Adobe Creative Suite, Acrobat, HTML5, Wordpress, and Bridge on the Macintosh platform. Knowledge and experience with CSS and Digital Publishing (DPS) or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, computer programming, computer graphics or related field.
• Experience with AdobePremiere Pro, After Effects, Drupal, Javascript, and other tools in relation web design and development.
