Job Description

Ideal Candidate:
The ID intern will have a passion for human centric design at the intersection of Apparel and Technology integration. You are excited by the opportunity to to contribute to a fundamentally new consumer product paradigm. You have the ability to rapidly ideate and present your concepts clearly, both visually and verbally. You are productive working independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team, and proactive in learning new systems, processes and technologies. You are skilled with working hands-on in a workshop environment making physical proof of concept mockups in iterative succession to solve challenging physical problems. You are equally skilled working digitally with CAD and graphics tools.

What You Need for this Position:
Current enrollment in an Industrial Design or equivalent Bachelors or Masters Degree program
Proficiency in 3D surface and/or solid modeling, SolidWorks is preferred
Proficiency in Keyshot rendering a plus
Background or interest in Mechanical Engineering a plus
Excellent sketching and concept visualization skills
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
Proficiency with MS Office and Google Docs
Knowledge of various manufacturing and assembly techniques a plus
Knowledge of soft-goods and garment construction and technical fabrics a plus
Ability to sew is always a plus at Seismic

Duties & Responsibilities:
Concepting and producing design solutions
CAD documentation
Prototype production
General support of the R&D team
