The Associate Spatial Designer is a full-time position in the creative services department. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to manage and design for a wide range of projects that include space design, stage design, mobile activations, temporary installations, custom fabrications and experiences. This person has a strong understanding of construction and material options to ensure we are getting the best product based on the allocated budget.
The Spatial Designer is a visualizer of the physical realm. From guest flows, space layouts, custom design elements, stage design and mobile experiences, you'll focus on bringing elements to life through floorplans and renderings. The designer works closely with the graphic designers to establish brand identities within all renderings and visual collateral that will be presented. The individual is expected to bring a strong level of creativity and strategy to the concept development phase of new and existing projects.
Work closely with Designers, Strategists and Associate Spatial Director as a highly collaborative designer. Design work is overseen by Associate Spatial Director.
Design 3D & 2D work from conception to completion.
Create all detailed CAD drawings if needed by fabrication vendors, AV vendors, etc.
Work with Creative Strategist and Producers for creative decisions regarding furniture/decor options that work well for that particular project while also being budget conscious.
Consult with and present to clients as needed – helping to map out campaign strategies and tactics, design ideas, and directions to meet client objectives.
Provides superior file management and organizational methodology, following department guidelines.
1-3 years of experience in an industry utilizing spatial design.
BA or equivalent required in design focused major (architecture, industrial design).
High proficiency in: Rhinoceros 3D, V-Ray 3D Renderer or equivalent, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop).
Strong conceptual abilities (developing ideas/concepts individually and as part of a team).
Strong client service, self-motivation and time management skills required.
Must be an effective project leader, a clear communicator and consensus builder, highly organized, very detail-oriented and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
Comfortable working in a demanding, fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
