Job Description

The User Experience (UX/UI) Lead will join a team of eCommerce experts responsible for delivering innovative solutions to create a best-in-class online shopping experience for consumers. Reporting to the SVP of Customer Experience, you will be responsible for driving the UX/UI strategy and execution that will enhance the way shoe lovers discover and purchase their next pairs across applicable sites, devices and channels. You will lead program activities, from user research and usability assessment, to wireframing and interaction design, with the customer’s perspective paramount in your thinking. Through constant collaboration and interaction, you will drive UI standards across all customer touch points. You will have the opportunity to partner with many parts of the organization, including product management, creative, customer service and engineering teams. Upon coming on board, you can expect to:

Drive the shoes.com UX/UI strategy and execution
Conduct effective research, including user and stakeholder interviews, analytics assessment, and heuristic analysis
Utilize research findings to provide recommendations that address business needs
Generate insights to optimize and refine designs by analyzing consumer, web, and user experience data
Create UX/UI deliverables, including discovery findings, user flows and journey maps, wireframes and/or detailed visual mockups, and prototypes, when needed
Partner with the Creative team to translate ideas and concepts into tangible design solutions and with Product Management to deliver features and experiences that drive customer satisfaction
Work closely with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into simple flows/interactions and design interfaces that are visually appealing and functional
Work on multiple projects and deliverables in tandem
Help promote UX best practices and contribute to the working design style and guidelines on all web properties
This job might be for you if you:

Have 6-8 years of experience in eCommerce, retail, consumer products, or a related field
Have a BS/MS in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Web/Graphic Design, or relevant field
Have demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following disciplines: user research, interaction design, information architecture, visual design; also have had exposure to and are interested in growing in the others
Are adept in analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data and presenting findings and recommendations.
Can whip up, with high proficiency, the next great experience using design/rapid prototyping tools such as Visio, Axure, Omnigraffle, iRise, UXPin or similar products
And also have used common design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud
Understand the capabilities and limitations of standard web technologies, such as HTML5, CSS, and Javascript
Have a keen eye with superb attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Boast superb communication skills, verbal and written; and are effective and persuasive
Are comfortable in a fast-paced, always-changing environment and have an ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
Work well across wide spectrum of tasks, from the strategic to the tactical
Are a self-starter, self-motivated and yet a strong team-player without an ego
Like to deliver results and make an impact on an organization
