Laporoscopic graspers are instruments used for keyhole surgery. Procedures can last for many hours, and as a result, fatigue - particularly in the hands - is a common problem impeding the work of surgeons. This redesign sought to increase the ergonomic comfort of the instrument by providing a shape memory wrist connection, allowing the hand to open and close to give the surgeon a break, should he/she become tired during the procedure.
