Production, in all construction phases. Initiate trend research for upcoming season, trend forecasting, and color / material coordination. Partner with Design team to plan the Season Calendar; Shoe Shows as well as Vendor Meetings.
Develop and insure design team has appropriate details on samples for Vendor review. Facilitate our overseas development team with detailed sample spec sheets.
Approve all confirmation samples to ensure fit and customer qualifications. Partner with Costing Dept. in the development phase to negotiate the value of the shoe design to meet or exceed customer margins. Merchandise the line to fit each customer so, not to conflict patterns, and lines. Challenge and teach designers in product development team to exceed company expectations. Review company procedures and make proposals for cost effectiveness of the development team.
Review duty issues and make changes needed to fit legal measures. Schedule international travel for trends forecast, as well as, in the product development process visiting overseas offices and factories
