Line of Site - Utilizes three technologies; gyromotion, infrared motion sensors, and helios display to allow the user to see images and drawings in midair. Data can be uploaded and stored on the internet and seen by other users.
Initial Concept Sketches - A plethora of concepts put onto paper
More concept drawings based around one idea. - a bit of refinement towards a more console based direction
Concept drawings slightly refined - still deciding which technology to utilizing, and exploring different forms.
Line of Site - more exploration towards the final design language.
The evolution - foam and paper models
FDM (rapid prototype) - had an FDM prototype made first to make sure dimensions were appropriate before going to aluminum.
Aluminum Casting - First, SLA parts were printed (not shown) which were burned out in the aluminum casting (results shown here). The clear plastic piece is also a type of SLA that prints clear, and can be sanded and buffed to fully clear.
Final Aluminum Model - Finished aluminum model
USB - The USB allows the user to upload software to the device.
Shining Up - buffed aluminum pieces
