Josh is designing voice interactions for Amazon's Alexa Shopping team, focused on building better shopping experiences for the Alexa voice platform. He is responsible for screen free UX (headless) and recently designed the first ever headless multi-item order shopping feature.
Josh was responsible for the UX design of Fresh's Search, Browse, and Discovery work flows. He worked closely with researchers, product managers, and developers to continue to grow the amazing Fresh grocery offering, across the United States.
Josh spent 2 years designing experiences for the Silk Browser, currently featured on Amazon's Fire tablets. He worked closely with researchers, product managers, and developers to design and build better experiences for millions of Kindle users. During his tenure with Silk, he designed the UX for Private Browsing (Fire Phone and Fire Tablet), 2 versions of Trending News, the FreeTime Web Browser, various blue sky initiatives, and was the lead designer for the 2014 FireOS update, for Silk.
Josh designs 2D and 3D products for retail, educational clients, start-ups, and inventors. Josh is engaged with art direction, product design & development, user interface design, design engineering, front-end web design & development, and much more. Designed products for the Aquatopia and MicroDry product lines and was engaged in design direction, concept generation, surface design, project management, recruitment, presentations, strategy, and research. Retail outlets included Bed Bath & Beyond, Toys R' Us, Babies R' Us, Buy Buy Baby, and more.
Josh designed products for diverse segments including: medical products, sports equipment, power sports vehicles, and user interfaces for home control devices. He was actively involved with concept generation, surface design, interface design, project management, usability testing, and research. Clients Included: Honeywell, Activision, Nonin, Arctic Cat, Smead, and J&J Ethicon
Worked with the Hixon team while still a student at Pratt Institute. He was involved with spacial design, way-finding graphics, and interactive design and development.
As a long term freelance designer for this financial services leader, Josh designed material that improved the clients' employees knowledge about all of the financial services available to them through T Row Price's managed services. The designs varied in range from 40+ page retirement guides to periodicals to tri-folds and buck-slips. Clients included T-Mobile, Harris Teeter, Constellation Energy, Clorox, and many more.
As a long term freelance designer & developer for the award winning agency in DC, Josh helped design and build web-sites and interactive applications for The International Finance Corporation, Beanstalk, Watson Wyatt, The George Washington University, and many more.

Josh was on the President's List or Dean's List each semester at Pratt, an active contributor to the Static Fish comic periodical, and a finalist for the TakiFuji art award. ..
