Product Designer — Los Angeles, CA
Josh walks around all day with a little voice in his head that wants to adjust nearly every little bit of type, every tail-light or grill on a car, and every swipe or touch on a smart device or web page. He is obsessed with the visual because, whether we admit it or not, we are all judging books by their covers. Down to the subtlest imperfection, where many average consumers can't even put a finger on it, he wants to solve those problems... he can't help it.
Goal:
Josh seeks the sublime in the links between man and object. Regardless of interaction; be it with a 3-dimensional object, or a 2-dimensional surface, a pleasurable experience is paramount. Not a moment goes by in a day where we are not touching, squeezing, pushing, pulling, or reading an object. His goal is to make these interactions lovely, sensual, easy, purposeful, and memorable.
Skills:
Analogue - Drawing/sketching, model making, sculpting. Digital - Mac and PC, exceptional skill level with Adobe Creative Suite (including Dreamweaver and Flash), Solidworks, Alias, Axure, Omnigraffle, Microsoft Office Suite, and many more. Josh has excellent digital prototyping skills for UI/UX testing. Music composition, sound editing, and video editing are also part of Josh's stable of skills. He is adept at learning and dealing with all computer systems and software.
