Resumé

EDUCATION:

Graduation from Appalachian State University - 2011
major: Product Design

EXPERIENCE:

Enventys
October 2011 – Present (10 months) Charlotte, NC

Industrial Design at Enventys hinges on being multi-faceted. Being one of only two on-staff designers, we are highly involved from the outset of each project. A keen ability to extrapolate design & market trends is essential, as is being able to juggle multiple projects spanning a variety of fields, each in a different phase of development, simultaneously. Having an engineering background has allowed me to become a link between the purely styling portion of a product and traditional engineering/manufacturing/sourcing.

Being a designer at Enventys also means being directly involved with the Emmy award winning show 'Everyday Edisons' in which inventors have their ideas developed into marketable products.

My required skill set for this position include:
Client interaction/collaboration/presentation
Product Category Research
Trend Forecasting
High volume ideation sessions
Orthographic refinement
Form modeling (Foam, Paper, Plastics)
3D Modeling (SolidWorks) & Rendering (Photoview 360, Keyshot, and Shot)
Product naming and light graphic design work
