Assistant Account Executive at Campbell Ewald
"Understand why you work hard, get the big picture, and think of the end results", that was some advice my parents had given me after I graduated from high school. It stuck and has helped me endure a time I was balancing school, an internship, and two part-time jobs. Now, I am a recent graduate from the University of Michigan - Dearborn with a B.B.A. in Marketing, which also Includes A.B.A and A.S. degrees from Henry Ford Community College. Currently, I am an Assistant Account Executive at Lowe Campbell Ewald and love everything about it! What I enjoy the most is that I get to have fun while we provide business solutions to our clients. On top of that our brand new office is located inside Ford Field in a burgeoning Downtown Detroit. Come on, this is the stuff dream jobs are made of! My past work experiences include being a research assistant for the University of Michigan - Dearborn's iLabs program, 7+ years in a management role at UPS - 12 years collectively, retail customer service, a marketing intern for a music label, and freelancing as a graphic designer. We serve as the U.S. hub for the Lowe and Partners global network (a part of Interpublic Group), providing clients with a range of both traditional and specialized capabilities. Federal Student Aid
- Assist in the management of a robust social media environment (organic and paid)

Accounts I managed included - Health: Allina Health and Carolinas HealthCare System; Financial: Federal Student Aid and Edward Jones; Luxury and Entertainment: MotorCity Casino Hotel and The Detroit Lions; Communications: Alltel Wireless; and Education: The Education Achievement Authority.
My day-to-day responsibilities included: managing the routing process for projects in radio, web, and print; developing production schedules, managing the Internal Services Request process, processing insertion orders for print, OOH, and OLA trafficking.
Quite often, I volunteered and have been asked to undertake tasks outside my usual scope of responsibilities. For example, I have helped create new layouts for status reports, created decks for a Power Point presentation, assisted in competitive analysis research for New Business pitches, and helped compose a write-up for a creative brief. Additionally, I participated in LCE’s Mentor Program under the guidance of an Associate Creative Director.

Day-to-Day: Directed the work of 15+ employees (promoted to supervisor in 2006), prepared and managed daily reports, collaborated with cross-functional teams to provide internal / external customer service.
As part of iLabs’ annual eCities project my day-to-day responsibilities included: Conducting qualitative and quantitative data gathering; integrating secondary research on innovative technologies, industry trends, product offerings, and competitive strategies; coordinating client-handling and communication; and documenting research findings.
I integrated a mail merge program that was able to send unique customizable e-mails to many of our participating communities which saved time, and allowed me to allocate more time to new participants. As a result I was responsible for 40% of the project's total submissions in 2013.
Projects I have worked on: The Detroit Lions Organization and Inkster Public Schools promotional material; The International Gospel Center - Web development, social integration, event planning, event photography, and work with professional video equipment; Graphics for Grammy Nominated and national recording artists, and a Best Selling Author; Google Adwords keyword research for website and landing page optimization.
Notable Accomplishment: Helped artist reach Top 10 on Billboard Chart sales by integrating a social media strategy to raise awareness of the client.
Social media correspondent and administrator on all major social media sites, served as brand ambassador, developed a strong understanding of the company’s products, outside sales / merchandising, created promotional material such as: digital ads and flyers, assisted in media planning, and frequently updated the website with new content, identified and communicated with key industry influencers, increasing brand awareness.
