Work History

+ EXPERIENCE 2013 Tutor - University of New South Wales, Sydney Working as part of the academic team at UNSW in delivering the ‘Management in Practice’ Module to the class of 2013. As a supporting role to guest speakers and tutors, my role was predominantly centred around designing tasks and exercises for student and sharing personal experiences. Working with students and other guest speakers was hugely rewarding and engaging. 2012 - Present Industrial Designer - Freelance, London & Sydney Managing locally and remotely, delivering projects in London and Sydney for individuals, start-ups and global design agencies. I have worked as a key contributor in developing brand and company strategy, design language and product design, working both independently and as part of a team. I have worked with London based Fashion Designer, Jesse Hawthorne Stevens of Finest Seven in building compelling visual presentations and concepts for eyewear designs. Other work has included animated visualisation of Bisley’s new furniture range, visualising furniture concepts for design consultants Radar and consulting with co-creation agency FACE in translating user insights into design concepts during co-creation workshops. 2008 - 2011 Industrial Designer - Hyphen Design, London As the first employee since the company’s restructuring, I became a key member of the design team in Central London. As one of the Industrial Designers, my role was centred around gathering user insights and translating these into product concepts for our clients. I soon began managing and overseeing projects from concept to production, working with designers, suppliers and manufacturers from around the world to create high quality products for some of Britain’s leading companies such as McLaren, TangleTeezer, and Ericsson. My role at Hyphen Design was also key in developing internal company culture and branding. 2005 - 2007 Junior Designer - I3 As a Junior Designer, my role was to assist other designers with tasks around the studio. This included compiling visual content for client presentations and recording idea generation sessions. As my role grew, I soon became a key member of the team, presenting projects, holding internal meetings, dealing with clients whilst taking an active role in the day-to-day design work and managing personal workload. + INTERESTS I have always had a keen interest in cycling. Since a young age, I have competed across several disciplines. Combining my love of photography and action sports has led me to travel across the world, meet people and capture some great moments.
