Work History

During graduation, I started working as an intern at Tamanduá Bandeira (www.tamanduabandeira.com.br), a furniture factory, which applies natural materials, especially tropical hardwood, on furniture design. After graduation, I was hired as a junior designer in another furniture factory called Vimoso (www.vimoso.com.br) specialized in bamboo, rattan and other tropical fibres. Looking for a better understanding of this kind of material and its applications I started my research at LILD (Laboratory for Investigation in Living Design) at PUC-Rio. This lab has a 30 year old research on especial techniques for bamboo, earth, and vegetable based origin. There, I developed my dissertation about 3d electronic models and its contribution to the development of lightweight bamboo and earth constructions. Today, I am a PhD Candidate at LILD, developing a research about minimal surfaces and natural formations applied on bamboo structures. Additionally, I am a lecturer at PUC-Rio, teaching for the design graduation.
