About
Katie is an award-winning designer and illustrator with a broad range of capabilities and a particular love of book design. Her best and worst publicity stunt involved requesting via social media that cat hair be mailed to her office, and subsequently appearing on Animal Planet to teach people how to felt with it (the things we do for the love of a job!). She lives in a warehouse with a bunch of cool machines, and loves winter hikes, kitchen experiments, and a well-crafted email.

senior web content designerPhiladelphia, PAJul 2013 - Dec 2015 (2 years 5 months)As a member of the Content Team within Anthropologie Web Creative, I designed homepage updates, product category landings, marketing emails, promotional suites, and more. When the situation called for it, I worked with a developer to conceptualize and execute solves involving motion, sound, or deeper interactivity. I was often called upon to illustrate, embroider, hand-letter, paper-sculpt, or use any number of other methods to create an artisanal touch.

Projects often involved hiring and directing freelance photographers and illustrators, overseeing photo shoots, and engaging in extensive correspondence with authors. Planning the monthly office party was a welcome addition to my workload.
