Kitchen - this is the elevation view of the kitchen. as i mentioned in the section I wanted it to be open and have no secrets. this gives the family who lives here a chance to show off their dishes and old knick-nacks that grandma bought for them. all of the appliances were purchased from commercial kitchen dealers so they are industrial style. even the moveable kitchen island is a reuses section of a pizza parlor counter.
Section of Kitchen - Being an industrial loft, I wanted the kitchen to have a raw feeling. it is comprised of steel and wood only (with a few screws here and there) and is completely open above and below. I was playing with the concept of honesty in design and seeing whats behind the curtain so to speak, so it just made sense to me for the kitchen to have the pipes and dishes and everything exposed. I wanted nothing left to the imagination.

Books, books, and more books - I've given the potential family plenty of space to store their books. But not only are they storing them, the books become part of the decor. Books come in every size and color which makes them diverse and interesting, and this family likes the thought of having their library in easy access.
Second floor nook - I designated this space as the library/guest room. If a guest were to spend the night they would have a spacious, airy room surrounded by possible entertainment. Its also a nice place to study or read for pleasure because of the two windows right beside you and the giant window in front of you, plenty of natural light is allowed to pour in.
