I am an Industrial Designer with product development experience from consumer products & industrial equipment through toys & JP, in consulting and corporate studios.
I have experience in all phases of NPD. Field research and conceptual sketches, product illustration and rendering, 3D CAD work through manufacturing specs. I work closely with each discipline to bring about the best and most appropriate solution. I have global experience as most of our processes involve people around the world.

2006 - 2012 : Lead Designer - Stanley Black & Decker / New Britain, CT
Lead industrial design for the Cutting & Clamping business unit of the Hand Tools division. Work closely with Directors of Engineering and Marketing and the rest of the team to develop the vision for new products. I also coordinate with our ID team to apply and guide appropriate styling for our brands within SB&D such as Stanley, FatMax, DEWALT and Black & Decker. Manage the rest of the NPD process by collaborating with research teams through manufacture by running brainstorming sessions, illustrating concepts, and providing 3D surfacing and models.
2007 - now : Freelance Designer - Sweet Spot Studios, Inc. / Saugatuck, MI
Sweet Spot Studio specializes in new product development within the toy and giftware industries. I contribute concepts, sketches, and renderings on a per project basis as well as assist in development of independent inventions.
1997 - 2006 : Senior Designer - Evo Design / Watertown, CT
Project leader and designer guiding and presenting client projects from research and ideation phases through 3D refinement and initial engineering. Industries included housewares, medical, consumer, industrial, and sporting goods.

Awarded IDSA Gold during senior thesis project show for a fully functional prototype of an expandable cafe table with a hidden spring loaded leaf.
