The Bookshelves were a response to an investigation into the activity of reading., drawing on the experience of how and where people read and how we interact with other objects relating to the physical act of reading. I created a range of shelves, each one exploring a different problem that occurs when storing books. Each shelf solves a problem with a simple slot detail. These bookshelves explore a whole new way of storing books.
