Edge Modern Promotional Cards - This project began as a catalog, but by constraints of time morphed into a set of informational promotional cards. The card fronts were made of combined imagery in photoshop and the product information was printed on the back. The cards were cut with rounded corners and packaged in a vellum box.
Money Rules bookcover redesign - This book was in desperate need of a redesign. The original bright green cover of a buisiness man surfing on a dollar bill appeared to target 6th graders, while the book was actually trying to target teenagers to young adults. I chose to put photos of the target age group on the cover and still use bright, but more modern and appealing colors to enhance shelf visibility in a good way.
First Things First magazine spread - This is part of a project involving (1) using provided copy from 3 different articles and putiing them into an easily readable format within 3 spreads and (2) using an existing magazine's identity to create a magazine cover design. The 3 articles used were 'First Things First', 'First Things First Revisited' and 'The Impotence of Being Earnest.' Given that the recurring theme being discussed in all of the articles was the shallowness of contemporary design, I chose to use mannequins as a visual metaphor.
Red Bull - The goal of this project was to use image manipulation to convey a particular concept or brand. I chose to use the Red Bull Energy drink as inspiration, and create a red bull with wings. The original image was of a white bull in a forest area. The wings were taken from an image some type of bird. I am still undecided whether this piece qualifies as design or fine art, but have decided to include it here because the execution turned out very well.
Sunset Wall Coverings book redesign - (The image shows the back, spine and front flattened) This original book was outdated and needed to have the imagery and style updated to appeal to a more modern audience. The project involved redesigning the cover and also designing 3 main spreads to act as a precurser to an entire book redesign.
