Project realized during the 3rd semester at University Center of Mauá Institute of Technology. The main focus of this project consists in the creation of a product (furniture) under the theme “Brazil”, theme of the 7th Tok&Stok University Design Award, having as it goals the creation of a furniture “genuinely Brazilian”, containing in its concepts the Tok&Stok’s philosophy: joviality, contemporaneity, minimalism, appropriate price to the target audience and conditions of storage. The Tropicália bookshelf is inspired by the ‘Tropicália’ Movement (late 1960’s), a celebrated movement because it managed to give the people of Brazil a sense of identity in Arts and other cultural fields.
