SUMMARY
My name is Libby and I’m an enthusiastic graphic designer seeking full-time employment. With around 4 years experience, I’m comfortable with both print and web projects and the entire Creative Suite. I’m relocating to the Bay Area mid-May. See you in sunny San Francisco!

EDUCATION
BFA in Graphic Design : Brigham Young University : Provo, UT
GRADUATED AUG 2008

WORK
graphic designer : Museum of Science & Industry : Chicago, IL
JUNE 2011 – PRESENT
I use my skills to promote the Museum’s upcoming and current exhibits as well as auxiliary educational programs and fundraising events as part of the Marketing dept. I’ve created identities and designed materials for learning labs and exhibits, negotiated pricing with printers and organized printing schedules, prepared files for print, and created web graphics.

graphic designer : Otherwise Inc : Chicago, IL
SEPT 2010?–?MAY 2011
I worked on many branding and web design projects from concept formulation to production, juggling multiple projects at once. I learned a lot about designing for the web and got cozy with our web developer, learning ways to make her job easier. Worked with local and national clients in logistics, consultancy, advocacy, and non-profit.

graphic design intern : YIU Studio : Seattle, WA
OCT 2008?–?MAY 2009
At such a small studio I had many responsibilities. I added web design to my arsenal of skills, designed promotional materials for the studio, produced a variety of print projects for clients in a variety of industries, and sharpened my skills in illustration, copywriting, photography, and letterpress. Worked with local clients in law, technology, advocacy, and non-profit.

graphic design intern : Mucca Design : New York, NY
MAY 2007?–?AUG 2007
I happily carried out internly duties as well as image research and photo retouching. I also got to design a few book covers for classic, fiction, and non-fiction titles for Rizzoli and BUR.

graphic designer (advertising) : Daily Universe : Provo, UT
APR 2006?–?NOV 2007
I designed award-winning advertisements and campaigns, came up with demographic-appropriate concepts, designed internal department materials, and got files ready for print.

OTHER
graphic designer (freelance) : Anywhere!
SINCE APR 2009
I designed packaging, logos, signage, invitations and web graphics for various clients.

volunteer : 826 Chicago : Chicago, IL
SEPT 2010?–?FEB 2011
I spent weekends in The Boring Store, worked closely with the store’s manager brainstorming new products and store promotions, did a little design, participated in a workshop guiding elementary-age kids in storytelling.
