I held the role of graphic designer in the Marketing Services department. I was responsible for maintaining the professional image of the college to the community through various forms of visual communication. I performed design and layout of class schedule books, logo design, brochures, college stationery, advertising, signage, web graphics, photography, semi cab and trailer design, and many promotional items used by the college. I primarily used Adobe Creative Suite software and a Macintosh computer. I worked closely with all area service bureaus for file compatibility and print processes. I also worked with college library employees to maintain accurate archives of printed materials and photos.

Ad Stylist, The Bureau County Republican, Princeton, IL 2000
I designed ads for sales clients in the Princeton area. I used Quark Xpress, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and pre-press software. I also did some writing and photography work for editorial. I attended sales meetings.

I covered social and school events in the Mendota area. I attended school board meetings, wrote feature articles, did photography and film developing, proofreading, and newspaper layout.
